ISMISS
The International Society for Minimal Intervention in Spinal Surgery (ISMISS) is the largest society of minimal invasive spine surgery. It is a non-profit organization of surgeons dedicated to spread knowledge about minimal invasive spine surgery. ISMISS was established in 1990 under the leadership of Professor Parviz Kambin, Philadelphia, in collaboration Professor Adam Schreiber from Zurich, and Professor Sadahisa Hijikata from Tokyo.

ISMISS Turkey Chapter would like to invite all neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons (including residents) who are interested in minimal invasive spine surgery to be a member of ISMISS and country chapter.

This website will serve as an communication platform for all of our members and spread the knowledge about minimal invasive spine surgery.

ISMISS TURK
Apart from regular ISMISS biannual symposiums in Philadelphia (USA) and annual meetings in Zurich (Switzerland), recent years have witnessed establishment of country chapters and their periodical meetings and courses worldwide.

ISMISS Turkish chapter was founded in 2005 at SICOT Istanbul Meeting (*). After years of discontinuous membership status of the registered members, and limited contribution of Turkish surgeons; the chapter has been reconstituted on December 22nd 2012 in Istanbul, with the strong presence of many academic spine surgeons. In that meeting, Professor A. Fahir Özer was elected as the head of the chapter and ISMISS Turkey representative by the votes of all presenting members.
